Kuala Selangor

On Saturday evening we took the kids to the Firefly Park Resort Kampung Bukit Belimbing in Kuala Selangor to watch the fireflies. This is done 1-4 hours after sunset. On the ride down we stopped at a palm tree plantation. We then made our way to Fort Melawati. This forts sits atop a hill overlooking the Strait of Malaaca. The are BUNCHES of silver leaf monkeys that reside at the fort. They are so used to humans feeding them that they don't leave. Their babies are born orange and then turn to a silver color as they mature. After that we headed down to one of the fishing villages to enjoy a seafood dinner. I was a little afraid as we were not sure what we were going to be served. There was so much food.....scallops,prawns, fish head (hahaha),oysters and clams. At our table there were 4 adults and 6 kids. Our friends the Shere's joined us and with our picky group we had so much food left over. After dinner we headed down to see the fireflies. The kids loved it. We were in a sampan boat. I felt bad for the guide trying to paddle our family up river....Louie alone is 220. We aren't the tiny Asians they are used to around here....hahahha. In route back to KL all the kids fell asleep except for Matthew. He was too busy looking out the window.
